Speakers Panel:
Courtney Callahan Crush, Principal at Crush Law - Welcome and Opening Remarks
Ms. Callahan Crush is a land use practitioner with significant experience in urban redevelopment projects throughout Broward County, and the Chair of Smart Growth Partnership. Ms. Crush will discuss historical preservation from a land use perspective. 

George Fletcher, Principal-in-Charge at Adache Architects
Mr. Fletcher will present a case study of a current historic preservation project, the Great Southern Hotel, the oldest hotel in Hollywood, FL, located on the Hollywood Circle. Adache Architects is restoring the hotel to its original appearance from 1924. Mr. Fletcher will discuss the challenges encountered incorporating the structure into a new multi-use high rise building.

Leslie Del Monte, Planning Manager, City of Hollywood
will provide an overview of this award winning project that encourages the use of smart growth principles by encouraging attractive and functional mixed-use to strengthen and direct development towards existing communities and encouraging stakeholder, community and regional collaboration.
