Any individual or organization interested in furthering the principles of smart growth can become a member and:

• Be part of a diverse network of private sector, public sector, and nonprofit partners seeking to encourage better development decisions.
• Gain information to help advance smart growth in your own community.
• Get a subscription to Getting Smart!, a bimonthly electronic newsletter, containing in-depth articles and case studies, tools and resources you can use, and the latest news about the people and places in the smart growth movement.
• Gain access to the normal Smart Growth Network (SGN) web site at www.smartgrowth.org, including the members-only pages, where members can access back issues of Getting Smart!, find copies of our highly popular primers and fact sheets, and learn how to connect with other members.
• Be invited to join the SGN listserv, where members can introduce themselves, ask for advice, and share information with SGN members across the United States and around the world.
• Receive a CD-ROM information kit with a complete library of presentations, fact sheets, and other publications from the leading experts in smart growth.
• Have access to the SGN Information Hotline, a service for members that allows you to request research assistance and expert advice on a broad array of smart growth topics.
