Certification/Recognition
Description:
In support of the mission of SGP, CRC shall develop and implement a program of certification and recognition of proposed development, infrastructure, and environmental projects and programs that embody the principles of Smart Growth under a stringent set of criteria to be established by CRC and approved by SGP. Grants and Development Committee
Description: The Grants and Development Committee will develop funding sources beyond the income from membership dues. This will include applying for the appropriate grants and developing and implementing sponsorship programs in conjunction with the Membership, Marketing and Outreach Committees.

Marketing Committee
Description:
The Marketing Committee oversees the marketing and promotional activities of the organization. These activities shall include oversight of the development of marketing materials, web site development and maintenance, presentation development, press releases and other collateral materials. In addition, this committee will be responsible for developing and maintaining the organization’s contact database and working with the other committees to promote the organization’s regular and special events.

Membership Committee
Description:
The Membership Committee establishes membership goals and creates membership programs and outreach campaigns to achieve the SGP membership objectives.

Nominating Committee
Description:
The Nominating Committee meets from time to time to establish rules and procedures for nominating SGP board members and officers. The nominating committee will review and recommend board members and officers to the general board.

Outreach and Education Committee
Description:
The Outreach and Education Committee will establish and maintain relationships with organizations, individuals, key policy makers and decision makers that have a role in creating or influencing public policy in areas to important to SGP. In addition, this Committee will create programs for the general membership quarterly meetings and special education programs that may be sponsored or conducted in partnership with other organizations from time to time.

Regional Development
Description:
The Regional Development Committee will work with leading organizations within the South Florida Region (Martin, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Indian River, Dade and Monroe Counties) to establish inter organization communication and a unified regional voice on Smart Growth issues.

Special Community Projects (West Park)
Description:
The Special Projects Committee identifies opportunities within the local area that will allow the Organization to lend its resources and expertise to implement projects that can best demonstrate Smart Growth principals in action for the greater community.
